Itienary Details

During this week we will explore the reef and wrecks outside of Safaga and the ones in the Northern Red Sea.

Outside of Safaga we will dive at the well-known Panorama reef and the wreck Salem Express which is a passenger ferry that sank in 1991 and is now home to schools of jacks and snappers.

In the north we head to the Straits of Tiran, a narrow passage between the Sinai Peninsula and Saudi Arabia that is home to four stunning coral reefs: Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas, and Gordon. The reefs at Tiran are known for its stunning coral formations and wealth of marine life such as schools of barracuda and giant trevally.

Of course, we will not miss to dive at the famous SS Thistlegorm wreck, a British merchant navy ship that sunk during World War II. SS Thistlegorm are now a home to a variety of marine life such as groupers, moray eels, and turtles.

We will also take you to the beutiful Ras Mohamed National Park at the tip of Sinai, which is a very popular dive site in the Red Sea, known for its breath-taking walls rich in soft and fan corals and populated with huge shoals of fish and eagle rays.

Abu Nuhas reef is famous for the number of wrecks in the same area, it is sometimes even called the shipwreck graveyard in the Red Sea. The most well-known ones are Carnatic, Giannis D, Chrisoula K and Kimon M. These wrecks are now encrusted with corals and provide habitats for a diverse range of marine life such as nudibranchs, scorpionfish, and sea turtles.

Throughout your safari trip our experienced guides will ensure your safety while also providing valuable insights into the marine life and history about the dive site.

The schedule can of course change due to weather and sea condition.

Requirement: Minimum OW and + 20 dives. (We recommend that you have minimum AOW or take the course during the week since several of the dive sites are deeper than 18 m)
