Welcome to Colona Divers, Marsa Alam – Open October 2010

New for winter 2010 Colona Divers can offer some of the best diving and snorkeling in the Red Sea from our Eco Lodge, Deep South Diving Camp and Dive Center in Port Ghalib area.

We invite you to come and join us and share the true wonders of the underwater world.

WHERE WE ARE
Colona Divers, Deep South Diving Camp is situated Umm Tondoba Bay; only 14 km away from the main city of Marsa Alam and only 1 hour drive from the international airport. This tranquil area is an ideal alternative to the crowded European style resorts the beach is deserted by comparison. You will feel like you’re on your own desert island after a long solitary stroll along the miles of beach. The camp offers uniquely designed “African huts” and “chalets”; good food and cheer are available every day. The natural surroundings and spectacular views make this ideal place to relax and unwind. Colona Divers, Port Ghalib is just 20 minutes from the international airport in the newly built modern marina.

MARSA ALAM + PORT GHALIB
Marsa Alam was originally (and still is) a Bedouin fishing village. It is a small town on the southern Egyptian coast, complete with Bazaar area and local foods. Time seems to have stood still in this area and local traditions still apply. Alcohol may be served in a few places but do not expect Hard Rock Cafe style bar in the village!.

Port Ghalib is now a modern and stylish marina; top class restaurants and bars are dotted along the seafront. The night clubs stay open late and multi million dollar yachts float nearby. International chains have opened in the harbor so don't be surprised to see a famous burger maker near you....

OUR SERVICES
Colona can offer a wide range of services to make your trip everything you could wish for; Colona is an ideal choice for someone who prefers a personalized service. Our staff think of Colona as our very own extended family, you will often find us on the boats coming out just for fun on our days off taking a ‘busmans holiday’. What better place to be?

We arrange diving courses from beginner right through to professional level. All courses are taught using the PADI system; which has proved itself safe and effective by becoming the most popular method of teaching scuba diving in world.

Diving and snorkeling can be made from both locations: Deep South will have daily diving trips with our large dive boats Elphinstone, Shab Samadai and Shab Sharm. Also short trips on our outboard boat to local reefs. The house reef is also a beautiful dive where you can take your time and enjoy the small stuff.
