WELCOME

Marsa Alam was originally (and still is) a Bedouin fishing village. It is a small town on the southern Egyptian coast, complete with Bazaar area and local foods. Time seems to have stood still in this area and local traditions still apply. Alcohol may be served in a few places but do not expect Hard Rock Cafe style bar in the village!

Port Ghalib is now a modern and stylish marina; top class restaurants and bars are dotted along the seafront. The night clubs stay open late and multi million dollar yachts float nearby. International chains have opened in the harbor so don't be surprised to see a famous burger maker near you....
